Wester Ross Cottages

Our two modern detached bungalows are located in the quiet crofting community of Melvaig, 20 minutes drive from Gairloch in Wester Ross.

Both cottages overlook the sea, with views of Skye, Harris and Lewis. The Beinn Eighe Reserve and the Torridon Mountains are just a short distance away.

You can easily walk down to the beach, the cottages are 70 metres from the seashore with private beach access.

RONA and RAASAY Accommodation

Ground floor accommodation throughout. Ramp access and wide doorways for wheelchairs. Double glazing throughout Heating by oil fired central heating

Lounge and Dining

Comfortable and beautifully furnished L shaped lounge/ dining room with picture windows giving magnificent views over the sea and Skye, Harris and Lewis. Electric fire, two large settees, Sky Freeview satellite colour TV, video/DVD, radio/cassette/CD player.

The fully fitted modern kitchen is well equipped with electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer, washer, tumble dryer, toaster, food mixer etc. plus a good range of cooking utensils including coffee maker. Rear porch with hanging space for outdoor clothes etc.

Bathroom

The bathroom has a modern suite with electric over-bath shower and a wall heater

Bedrooms

The upper floor comprises of 2 bedrooms, with modern pine furniture, 1 with double bed and the other with twin beds.

Facilities

The house is double glazed throughout and heated by storage heaters. There is a pay-phone in the lounge. The porch has space for outdoor clothing, boots etc. There is parking available for 2 cars at the side of the house. Outdoor lights onto the spacious decking in front of the house.

About Melvaig

Melvaig is a small community close to Gairloch. It is on a peninsula leading to the famous Rua Reidh Lighthouse and the area is well know for beautiful scenery and wildlife. Use our Google Map to see the location.
